In Jefferson Co we are having a lot of requests to put multiple bathrooms, washer and dryer, and some sort of other space like art rooms or an office in an accessory buildings (shops, garages, etc).  Essentially, we have people trying to put an ADU in, illegally. 

How do other jurisdictions handle this? 

Do you put a limit on the square footage of space that can be used this way? 

Do you limit the number of plumbing fixtures that can be installed?

Do you allow bedrooms in a space like this as long as there isn’t a kitchen, since that would make it a dwelling?

Do you limit mechanical appliances?
