I am assuming this is for a Commercial project.

The structure permit is all of it (value (rounded up to the nearest dollar) of all equipment, materials, labor, overhead, and the profit for the work indicated on this application).  The mechanical permit is only the valuation of the mechanical.

I have asked this question and the above statement is what my Building Official advised me.

The verbiage on our structural permit application for the valuation is:

Permit fees are based on the value of the work performed. Indicate the value (rounded up to the nearest dollar) of all equipment, materials, labor, overhead, and the profit for the work indicated on this application."

My question is, if the project also requires permits for other disciplines such as mechanical, where the permit is calculated on the mechanical portion of the project, would the structural permit valuation be ONLY for the structural portion of  the project?

I'd welcome any input on this question.  I've always asked for the valuation on the structural permit to include the valuation for the entire project.
